"Wake" ("Vaka") is one of those Scandinavian series you hope will go somewhere interesting but doesn't. The story revolves around an outbreak of a virulent contagion that, as it turns out, is the result of actions from a pharmaceutical company that ends up infecting the drinking water supply. People get red rings around the Isis and cannot sleep, leading to an often dramatic and horrible death.
