The Boys had its moments, it wasn't perfect but at least, it was engaging. Then along came Gen V. It feels, to this reviewer, more like a basic teenie drama, with a few super hero add ons, than anything else. I found the first episode, unwatchable. Not helped at all by the nasty period blood thing. In summary, a uninspiring teenie drama with a vague super hero vibe. Not as good as the Boys, somewhat more predictable due to the "teenage" college setting and the characters are nowhere near as likable as Hughie, Butcher, Frenchie, MM and Kimiko With that out the way; GenV is a decent enough spin off, it does nothing new nor does it add anything to The Boys universe. But it isn't painful to watch, very much on the fence regarding the want to watch a second season. 6/10
