The action "Times of Evil" takes place between the two world wars and at the very beginning of the Second World War. The main course of the series is based on the novel "The Believer", and through reminiscences he deals with the events in the novels that preceded him in the trilogy ("The Apostate" and "The Sinner"). At the center of the story are the main characters of the Katic family (Vukasin, Milena, Ivan), brothers Bogdan and Vladimir Dragovic, Misko, Nadja and Bora Lukovic, and Petar Bajevic. We find the Katic family at the dawn of the Second World War in Belgrade. Bogdan Dragović is returning from emigration, trying to establish ties with the Communist Party from which he was expelled as a Trotskyist, as well as with his son Vladimir.
