Biography

Orpheus - Eleftherios Avgoustidis (born 5 June 1985 in Exarchia) is a Greek television, film and theatre actor. He is the son of actors Maria Tzompanaki and Dinos Avgoustidis. He graduated from the Drama School of the National Theatre, and then studied film at the New York Film Academy. He made his debut in the film "Loofa and Variation: Sirens in the Aegean" (2005) directed by Nikos Perrakis. This was followed by the television series "Loofa and Variation: The Series" which was broadcast by NET in the 2006/2007 season and in which he starred as soldier Giannis Papadopoulos, as well as his participation in the Alpha police series 10th Order in the episode "Virtual Reality" where he starred alongside Danae Skiadi. In the 2007/2008 season, he starred in the Alpha romantic series "I Got Red Glasses", playing the young professor Dimitris, who is in a relationship with Marianna (Evelina Papoulia), who is 12 years his senior, and he played in the Diana Theater for the second season in the play "Night of Radio Murders" with Eleni Randou and Vasilis Charalambopoulos. In the 2008/2009 season, she made four appearances in the cinema: she starred with Akis Sakellariou and Faye Xyla in the comedy film by Yannis Xanthopoulos "Everything will be fine", and appeared as a guest star in "Ilias tou 16ou" directed by Nikos Zapatinas and starring Petros Filippidis, in "Bank Bang", directed and starring Vassilis Charalambopoulos and in "I'm Dying for You" by Eleni Randou.
