Lim Suat Yen

Graduated from University of Wisconsin and followed by a post-graduate degree in Film from the New York University, Yen has successfully blended her unique skills of film and video making to direct many artistic productions such as Road Less Travelled (1997), I Only Care for You (1990), Something Good (2000), Blue Print (2002), Sitting Duck (2004), Blue Window (2006) and a sitcom series School Days (2000-2). From 2012-2017, she directed the original series of Ollie & Friends, a highly rated and successful pre-school program for local children for okto and its subsequent 4 seasons. In 2019, she directed the award winning Suria children's program about kids' adoption, entitled "Mama Ku Sayang". In 2021, Yen embarked on her debut foray in the horror genre and directed the tele-drama "Dinner Date" in the "After Dark" series as well as "The Lying Theory" and "Pre-Loved Daughter" in the Viddsee short series. In 2022, with the Finalist winner of "Dinner Date" in New York Festival, she continue another episode of directing in season 2 of After Dark "Girl in the Gap". Besides directing almost all types of content for the past 26 years, Yen was also an Executive Producer in Oak 3 Films for 24 years. Under her leadership, she built a strong production and post- production team and had consistently collaborated with creative personnel to deliver all the programmes on time and on budget to the broadcasters.
