8.0Acid is, it would seem, another overlooked gem. There's a ruthless honesty inherent in this film. Its an apocalyptic survivalist tale that pulls no punches. Its harsh in its treatment of the main and peripheral characters. Horrible things happen to nice, ordinary people, simply because that's precisely what does happen during a disaster. That's not to say there is not a thread of hope inherent in this film. The slim but strongly held hope, that sense of love for one another, off sets and balances, all then awful things that happen.
