When a bed-ridden professor's literary assistant is found dead, clutching only a pinch-nez (spectacles) with a particularly wide bridge, "Insp. Hopkins" (Teddy Arundell) is perplexed. He really hasn't a clue, so seeks the advice of "Holmes" (Eille Norwood) and "Watson" (Hubert Willis).
