Eager young actress Tom is thrilled when her new agent gets her a high-paying one day job ($10,000!) to impersonate a businesswoman at a cocktail party as she has to be elsewhere. The woman's husband will be present to guide her. This goes smoothly but the next day a car tries to run her down. She shrugs this off as though it happened every day, but that night her friend from work, while staying overnight, is attacked and stabbed by an intruder.
