Overview
Apo, a directionless skateboarder with dreams of going pro, finds himself trapped in a shopping mall when entitled customers consuming "Ratartarre" (a rat poison marketed as a COVID cure) transform into ravenous "brain dead" zombies sporting Karen haircuts. Together with his best friend Jamal and his crush Cho from the Korean chicken restaurant, Apo discovers that the zombies have unusual weaknesses. As the army surrounds the mall with mysterious intentions, the trio must battle through hordes of brain deads screaming for "MANAGRRR" to find a way out before time runs out.

"ApoKalypse," the recently released animated feature, is a surprisingly entertaining ride, especially considering its visibly ultra-low budget. While it won't be sweeping any major awards for technical prowess, its quirky humor, surprisingly endearing characters, and a truly unexpected cameo from the infamous Uwe Boll make it a worthwhile watch for fans of indie animation and zombie comedies.
