Centered around the post-grad life of young painter Duncan Stinson as he travels from New York to study at Städelschule in Frankfurt, Lebenswirklichkeit’s narrative “progresses through a series of nepotistic gestures in order to collapse the distinction between artistic private life and social positioning.”
