5.0In spite of a exciting trailer Apocalypse Z fails to deliver. Perhaps the most immediately noticeable negative is the tiresome need to play politics. An anti-Russian sentiment is front and centre, throughout a large chunk of this film. Looking beyond this, it takes far too long for what is essentially an action movie, akin to say "World War Z", to get off the ground. This film drags, at times, with sporadic moments of action, that never really amount to anything satisfying.
