Overview
A fearsome swordswoman known as The Jade Raksha appears in the martial arts world and begins killing people whose surname is Yan. A swordsman figures out who she is, and asks her why - the answer being that a Yan killed her family 18 years ago... but she's not sure exactly which Yan it was. He suggests that killing the innocent is wrong, but she only has vengeance on her mind and is not to be convinced.

7.0This is one of Runme Shaw’s “wuxia offensive” entries starring Cheng Pei-pei before Jimmy Wang Yu reinvented the genre with THE CHINESE BOXER in 1970. THE JADE RAKSHA benefits from being released in this period of 4 or 5 years where Shaw blended fantastic location work with their fan-favorite sound-stages, a welcome surprise that practically gives off the impression of unorthodoxy. This film has it all: revenge, drama, fights, blood-letting, romance, plot twists, and more.
